---Ad Production
Flying billboards can be ANY size.
Unlike roadside billboards, aerial billboards are not
strapped to an already existing structure. The average
size ranges from 20 to 30 feet in height, 40 to 100 feet
in length and can be any odd size (i.e. 23' x 64',
25' x 80', 30' x 100', etc.).
Whenever possible we utilize hand painted graphics. Not
only will a hand paint save your company money, but
the paint makes the billboard less opaque (color stands
out better) and our highly skilled production personnel
output quality graphics.

Please use the following guidelines
when designing your ad!
STADIUMS & INLAND EVENTS
When flying around sports stadiums and inland events the
FAA requires that airplanes fly 1 100ft to 1 500ft above
the ground or stadium and at safe horizontal distance as
well. For this reason we recommend scaling all pertinent
copy to SEVEN feet in height for optimum visibility.
If this is not feasible, we will accept copy scaled to a
minimum of FIVE feet. Any ad copy smaller than five feet
will be difficult for viewers to see.
BEACHES
When flying over beaches the FAA requires airplanes to
fly at 500ft above the water and at 750ft from the shore
line Experience has proven that ads with
copy scaled to FIVE foot in height are highly visible.
We do recommend scaling pertinent copy to FIVE feet however
if this is not feasible, we will accept copy scaled to a
minimum of FOUR feet. Please note - If you think you
might want to use your flying billboard over stadiums
or inland events in addition to beaches,
use the appropriate guidelines.
REMEMBER!
Although your target audience may be at a certain
event or area there is significant ferry time involved in
getting your ad to and from its' destination. Larger copy
will only increases exposure as you will now capture the
attention of all the people your ad passes on its' way to
and from its destination!!

Artwork must be furnished before production
can begin. For painted graphics the furnished
artwork can be anything printed, preferably
camera-ready art, laser, disk, or via email (jpg, gif, pdf)
Artwork must be to scale and a color scheme must be
furnished showing the location of colors to
be used. Colors on computer generated
billboards will appear slightly faded due to
the transparency of the lightweight material
used - please keep this in mind when selecting
your colors. Please call for specs on
providing artwork for computer generated
billboards. Allow five to ten business
days for completion.

Ads best suited for aerial advertising are
those that have large, bold designs; utilize
a limited number of colors; or are well known
and easily identified by viewers on the ground.
The colors should make dramatic use of contrast
(dark color on light background or vice versa).
